Oh, sure- you do it after it's been simplified, when the weather is cooler and there's probably not much undergrowth. Shoulda tried it on a 90 degree day in June before it was changed...

The woods are lovely, dark and deep. And I've caches to find, and miles to go, before I sleep.

Boggy Man II or The Ranger's Revenge by Eagle Son. This cache resides in Waterfall Glen. For those of you that have never been there, you are missing out on one of the finest FP's in DuPage County (sorry CN). First off, one has a lengthy hike just getting to the area from parking. But it is all good as their is much history that lies on these grounds. Should read this before heading out. So once at the area, right off the bat you are challenged. Then it only gets fun. I can usually find ways around roadblocks, but I had to get a little wet on this one. Of course, once I found the cache, I did find an easier way out and was grateful for it. Eagle Son has always been noted for his fine caches out here. I'll save "A walk in the Glen or it's not where you think" for another nomination.

Maybe you could say why you are nominating this cache for those of us who haven't hunted it. Could you elaborate please?

We would like to nominate Seven by Ten by rocky is a very good doggie. This cache is out in the Woodstock area of McHenry county and so hasn't been hunted by many cachers yet. The puzzle is very challenging and one of the most fun we've done. It is always very humorous, lampooning ten area cachers. The acutal hunt is also physically challenging and puts you outside your comfort zone. We encourage everyone to make the pilgrimage out to hunt Seven by Ten.

I would like to nominate "In Plane Site!" By JustUsTwoThis was a fun, short Mystery cache that makes you explore on Google Earth and Terra Forma. With an interesting choice of container in the end.

We'd like to nominate One Hundred Years of Darkness by xafwodahs and SSPhoto. It's a fun, well done night cache in Vernon Hills. We did the cache on a snowy, winter night. The park is open til 10:30. Hopefully the link works out. Congrats to the February winners!

Maybe you could say why you are nominating this cache for those of us who haven't hunted it. Could you elaborate please? I just thought it was one of the best caches I have found in a long time. First stage was a good challenge. The other stages were more straightforward finds but the containers were very unique. Nice big final container too. Educational aspect to the multi as well.

Monster at Skokie LagoonI think the sense of adventure crossing the damn was what did it for me. oh and the fact that Sped and I had just started dating. Here's my log "What a find this one was! We walked to the area with the group and I didn't think I'd actually be able to do it. I got about 20 feet out on the spillway and froze. See there was a small log laying acrossed the spillway that you had to step over. I got one leg over it but couldn't stop the jello feeling in my legs to let me lift the other leg. I kept trying as I watched SPED get farther away. I tried moving the log once but then got freaked out that it would come back at me before I moved. I looked at the rest of the crew and said "I don't think I can do this." they just looked at me and said it's ok. But it wasn't ok with me. I don't often try daring things and I wanted to do this. So as SPED looked back at me and tried to figure out what was wrong, I yelled "i'm stuck. I don't think I can do this." he told me to go back then. "I'm working on it." As he started to work his way back to me I mustered up the guts to push the log out of the way. Gave it a good shove and slid my foot to the left. Ok now I'm fine. Made it acrossed in about 1/2 the time it took me standing there trying to figure out what to do. Once there we found the cache in short order and stopped to catch our breath. The return trip was a little easier with a hand to hold "

So if one didn't make it in February, can we re-nominate it?
