GC7363 - Hole in the Wall by Joeseppis 4 in Big Rock Forest Preserve

Nothing "clever" or devious here -- a good, straightforward, classic, challenging hide. The forest preserve is beautiful and the cache is well hidden in a great location. I'd say the 3/3 rating is dead-on; it's one of those that once you find it, there'll be some forehead-smacking as you reflect on all the ways you went astray looking for a full-size ammo box. The fact that it's nearly six years old is a testimony to the quality of this cache.

I will nominate Dot Dot Dash Series by AllwaysLooking99 and KeddyKlan.
This is a fun series that will challenge a new geocacher and enlighten and amuse a long time geocacher as well. This has been very well thought out and executed. Even through some of the early start hurdles that were encountered, came by a little rough, the creativity will awaken most people.

I completed this series on April 26th with ClickChik (GeekBoy was observing) and all I can say is that it was THE BEST series of caches I have done.  All 6 stages were well executed and a lot of fun to find.  Dot Dot Dash 1 is a straight forward hide but you must solve the puzzle that is included if you wish to find continue on to find Dot Dot Dash 2.  The series continues in this fashion through Dot Dot Dash 6.  Completing the series takes you in a loop of the forest preserve and there is some very nice vegetation in the entire area.   The coordinates are spot on for the entire series and the puzzled to solve to obtain the coords for stages 2 through 6 are a lot of fun.

I did this cache right along with WZK on April 27th and agree that this was a very nicely done, challenging, yet very fun cache to do.  It took a bit of time to find but it really was a head smackers when found.  My son has even commented that this was one of his favorites for the day (even when he was one of the last to find)

I wholeheartedly agree hands down the best Cache (series) we have done!!!  It was very evident right from the beginning that a lot of time and planning went in to this one.  One stage simply flows to the next and the story line never skips a beat.  CT really out did himself on this one.  If you have not had the opportunity to hunt this series yet, you are really missing out.  Also would make a great group outing, can't say enough good about it.

Also sometimes if The Trust knows a group is heading out to visit the series Agent Coyote might make a surprise 'Hit and Git' visit with the group throughout the day.  Smile

Oh yes...CT's Soldier's Story is great fun. I spent the whole day doing this one. He tests your abilities with navigating and endurance. A truly fine example of a well laid out plan. Everyone should experience this story of a soldier.

My log of the final. Another great example showing off our area.

We would like like to nominate Vampire Empire by Frazer. A Letterbox Hyrbid, it is one of the most fun caches we've found in a long time. Through an innovative puzzle with a great storyline it takes you on a very interesting tour of downtown Chicago. What could have otherwise been an ordinary micro was transformed into a grand adventure.

I nominate another fantastic and historic multi: Road to Ruin - GCH07T, by xafwodahs.

Surprisingly, it gets few visitors, but those that have visited have enjoyed it thoroughly.  When xafwodahs puts together a cache, he doesn't settle on the usual hide, but insists on making it special, typically by including historic photos, to give perspective.

GCNH6B, Please Don't Blow Your Nose.  A nice hike followed up with a very interesting puzzle challenge.

GCNXTY, HUNTCEET'S FOUNDATION.  One of the best hikes I have had to a single cache.  There is some very interesting scenery along the way.
